More vmf50 Stuff (NSFW)

Yamato vmf50 Miu and Risa

I mainly collect figures, and I don’t intend to switch over to collecting dolls or Figmas or whatever, but I gotta admit that those two things have a big huge advantage over the PVC stuff. Namely, you can pose them in pornographic positions. It’s hard as hell to do that with scale figures (though I’ve tried) and it’s one of the big reasons I buy dolls. I’ve got vmf50 Risa (who I renamed Simone) but well, doll pornography works best with two or more dolls; I guess doll masturbation is okay too but I keep an eye on my keyword stats and I don’t think anyone’s ever gotten to this site by searching for that. So with that in mind, I decided to get another vmf50 doll, and some other stuff.

Yamato vmf50 Miu Kanzaki

This is Miu Kanzaki, Yamato’s Original Concept Image Girl #1. Unlike some of the other vmf50 girls, she has artificial eyes rather than painted ones, and she comes with a rather fetching gothy-looking schoolgirl uniform. I really like her outfit and it’s a big reason why I bought her, so I’m not going to change her into something different. I’ve seen pictures of her on Yamato’s site with a blonde wig, and she looks pretty good as such, so I might swap out her wig down the road.

vmf50 Risa in bondage harness

I was ecstatic when I got Simone her first bondage harness, but then I found this one on Yahoo Japan Auctions and had to get it. It’s made by the person who runs FetishRoom Blog, and unfortunately I do not know his or her name as that site is entirely in Japanese. This new harness is, hmm, a bit more revealing than the old one, which can be seen in the review linked above. I like it very much. Isn’t the internet great? I mean, there I was a couple months ago wondering where I was gonna get a bondage harness for my vmf50 dollie and now I’ve gotten not just one, but two, made by crafty individuals halfway around the world in Japan. We truly do live in an amazing time. (Actually, I have three doll-sized bondage harnesses. More explanation in a bit.)

Yamato vmf50 Risa back view

And the back view. I also got some new cuffs and a nice collar and leash for Simone, also from Japan. It seems like all the doll-collecting perverts gravitate to the vmf50 body.

vmf50 Risa doll with tentacles

Speaking of perversion, I found my McFarlane Toys Sentinel toy, and its size goes well with a vmf50 doll. Remember the sentinels from the Matrix movies? Was anybody else disappointed that they weren’t used as anything but garden-grade combat robots? I mean, there were a ton of possibilities but the moviemakers ignored them all. What a shame. Fortunately, I have this toy here and I can use it for whatever I want.

vmf50 doll and tentacles

I wish I had toys like this when I was a kid. I never had anything quite this cool. Well, I did have one naked doll that I hid away; it was some Korean or Japanese or Chinese toy, I think. It might’ve been a Jenny doll. I usually played with GI Joes and Ninja Turtle action figures, which were cool but not as cool as this. Though then again, I really wish I still had my Lego collection. There aren’t many toys as cool as Legos, and I remember dreaming about building the biggest damn Lego castle that I could. I still dream about it, but there’s no way I can afford Legos now.

vmf50 and Matrix Sentinel

The best part about growing up is that you can decide whether you want to be grown-up or not.

vmf50 and Mothra larva

I mentioned the Mothra larva in a preorder post many months ago, and here it is! I intended to use it to molest my doll, and it works okay for that, I guess, but it’s really debilitated by the lack of any articulation at all. It’s basically a really stiff chunk of plastic; a couple of balljoints in between its segments would’ve been very, very nice, but unfortunately, it is not to be. Still makes for some great pictures, though.

vmf50 Risa and Mothra

Just going out for a walk. Hmm … is Mothra supposed to be female? I suppose this makes slightly less sense if it’s female, but oh well; when we’re making this kind of porn, we don’t need to worry about those sorts of details.

A review of Miu should be forthcoming, though first I have to fix up her hips, since they’re very loose right now (which is my fault). I also need to get her a weapon; I really wanted to get her the Dai Sodo, but the thing is sold out across the entire planet. It’s her signature weapon, so I’m pretty unhappy that I can’t give it to her. Incidentally, I guess the name is really “Dai Sword” but it amuses me to put it in bad Japanese, and I wonder why they use the English word rather than whatever the proper Japanese term is for a sword like this.

I also purchased Yumi, Original Concept Image Girl #4, and hopefully she’ll be here soon. I’m getting her wardrobe together now; I’ve got her bondage harness ready, I just need to get the accessories. A girl’s gotta have her accessories to look right.

The Mothra larva isn’t as grotesque as I had imagined. I think the pictures with it would fair better if there were some translucent, slimy looking substance present at its mouth and Simone’s “mouth”. The lack of articulation is really disappointing, it just won’t have the same effect if it looks the same in every picture.

The Sentinel is pretty cool but if we consider the scale of the Matrix world, Simone would be a giantess.

Speaking of hiding toys, do you hide your “toys” when someone comes over?

    • Tier says:

Now that’s a good idea, maybe I’ll do a follow-up with something like that. In fact, I think I will do something like that. I’ll just need to get a can of condensed milk.

Yeah, I need to find some more monster toys. I did find a Halloween-themed site that sells some monsters, like a big huge centipede, which look promising; I just need some flexible stuff.

The Matrix movies needed human-sized Sentinels; that way the machines wouldn’t have had to drill one big-ass hole down into Zion, they could’ve drilled numerous small holes. And then the little Sentinels could break into the city and go looking for victims, which would’ve made the third movie a lot more interesting.

Nah, I keep all my toys in my bedroom and the only people who ever see them are real-life friends, and they are very appreciative of my hobbies. They don’t have much interest in anime themselves, but they are always enthusiastic when it comes to providing advice and support.

Both new dolls you’re adding to your collection are delicious; as is the new bondage gear for Simone. I do have to say that based on the two pictures, I greatly prefer Miu as a brunette, but I don’t much care for blondes myself. Can’t wait to see some two/three way action going on in future reviews, as your purpose for buying another doll is truly a great one. I don’t know, you might change my mind on dolls with time, as they all look beautiful and a whole lot of fun.. but even if I were to change my mind now, the funds aren’t there to support it.

I know how you feel about Legos, and that’s why I can’t recommend MineCraft enough. It’s an amazing game even if you don’t have fond memories of Legos, but it’s an absolute dream for anyone who has such memories. Best description I’ve heard of the game so far is Legos without the cleanup (or ridiculous expense of the theme kits) with monsters.

    • Tier says:

I think you’re right; she looks good as a blonde in a different outfit but since I’m gonna keep her in my schoolgirl outfit, she’d look strange with anything but her original hair, I think.

I gotta give that game a whirl, maybe I can do it sometime soon since this seems like a slack month at work. I find myself kinda unable to play really complicated games now … I got Civ 5 a few weeks back and it seems really good, but I just can’t get into it. Instead, I’ve been playing Pirates!, which is old as hell but I can play it using one hand on the keypad. I was gonna re-up my Warcraft accounts for one month to finish up some business before Cataclysm is released; I don’t really have any desire to play the expansion but there are a few things I want to do in that game still.

I’m really looking forward to getting Yumi, I won some hooker boots for her from Yahoo Japan today, and now I just need to find some gloves or arm sheathes for her. And figure out how to sew. Heh.

      • Shashin says:

Yeah, the hair looks great. If I weren’t so broke right now, I’d consider buying a doll based entirely on how she looks. I’ll probably head down the road eventually, but it might be awhile.

I’m fairly certain you can play the browser based creative mode for free. Basically just you placing an unlimited amount of blocks to build stuff; obviously the mode closest to Legos, but it personally doesn’t appeal to me as much as playing with actual Legos would. The survival mode is where all the fun is at, and it will only cost you around $15. You start out with nothing, build tools, mine blocks/resources, and then build… with all types of baddies coming out at night. Can’t really play it one-handed like you can play Pirates!, but it’s still a very simple premise, albeit with some complexities. I want Civ V, and could probably juggle it right now with a really easy semester, but I know that if I bought it I’d play for months, and next semester I plan on loading up with sciences/math… I’ve actually been thinking about WoW a good bit recently; don’t really have any interest in the expansion, but I’ve been thinking of the great times I had in vanilla, all the fun raids throughout all three games, and the amazing solo questing WotLK offered. I’d never go back, but I do miss it a bit.

        Yay for hooker boots.

        • Tier says:

They do demand quite a bit of cash. Particularly for clothes, wigs, and accessories. I’m thinking that after I get Yumi ready, I’m gonna shut down doll spending for a while but who knows; I might become enamored with the vmf50 Soniko doll.

Yeah, I’ll probably give Minecraft a shot, it sounds like something I’d enjoy, even though my queue of unplayed games is huge. I’ve been kinda nostalgic for Warcraft as well, but I liked TBC a lot and don’t think I’d adjust very well to the current state of the game. I asked a friend what the game is like now and he wasn’t all that enthusiastic about it. I re-upped my account earlier this year to level up a blood elf paladin and was very annoyed to see that they changed Seal of Command. It’s funny as hell how after something near a decade of development, Blizzard still doesn’t have a clue what they want ret paladins to be.

Yay for hooker boots indeed! Or fuck-me boots, as I have heard them called.

          • Shashin says:

I’d be good in that aspect, I think. If I find one or two sets of hair that I really like, I’m fairly simple to please there. And clothes I’d probably get a few sets to match various fetishes (schoolgirl set, bondage set, etc) which I imagine would be fairly expensive if you’re buying it per piece… but I wouldn’t need 20 different sets.

It’s a really cool game. I haven’t played it in a few days as I’ve been fairly busy and been doing tv/Big Bang Age (which I also haven’t played in a few days), but it’s a game you could either play for hours, losing track of time, or just play for a few minutes. And there was just a massive Halloween update that added a bunch of cool new features, but I haven’t had a chance to check it out (okay, so it has probably been closer to 2 weeks since I’ve played.) I loved playing in vanilla, there was a good deal of difficulty to leveling so you were attached to your character at 60 (and I had to level a paladin first… back when elites were everywhere, and 90% of the 55-60 content required a group.) Had a lot of fun with lower level raids (no AQ40/Naxx), BGs with the guild, and just screwing around. BC hit and I enjoyed myself, but never really raided past the first month or two of hardcore raiding. Came back with a new character/server for WotLK and I absolutely loved the zones/questing from 70-80. Granted I plowed through it in two days, but they added a lot of cool solo content for Wrath. Raids were cool to start, and I loved the fact that they redid Naxx (though I hate the fact that they removed the 40 man version entirely), but it all became very old, very quick. Did they change Seal of Command again just recently? I remember how OP it was back at 60 (especially with the old Reckoning) and maybe even 70, but I remember it being nerfed. Is it an entirely new mechanic now, or has it just been nerfed again? Ret paladins will probably always be the most universally hated class in the game; which is a real shame.

Heh, can’t wait to see them with a name like that.

          • Tier says:

I think I’m sticking with just a few outfits as well; I’m pretty lazy and I don’t want to spend a lot of time changing their clothes, not to mention that the sort of clothes I give them generally cause stains, and changing their outfits might reveal them.

I really enjoyed vanilla Warcraft as well, even though I started at the tail end of it when a lot of the refinements had gone in (cross-server BGs were implemented just after I started, and I never got to experience the joys of raid group Scholomance or jumping into Molten Core with a raid full of people in blue-level gear). I loved TBC as well, but I don’t react to change very well, and I was also kinda burned out as Lich King dropped. Yeah, they changed Seal of Command a while back to become an AOE attack, like a warrior cleave. Me, I mainly ran my paladin as a PVP character so the loss of burst damage was really annoying. I guess to be fair, I played some AV on my paladin earlier this year and the AOE attack was pretty useful, since I was just running into large groups of undergeared level 61-70 players and mowing them down (since my paladin has full arena gear).

I hear enhancement shamans aren’t that great either, and that was my favorite spec in TBC. The loss of windfury totem is particularly annoying, since that got me into raids. Or at least, it got me a ton of love from all the melee players.

3 dolls and you don’t consider yourself a doll collector! I can’t even justify the cost of one! :p

Look forward to the review though…I know your just goofing here, but I’d love to see you do some serious photography with these like you do with the fixed posed stuff…Seen a lot of great doll photography, but not so much in the vein of what your aiming for so ‘m curious to see what you come up with! ~_^

    • Tier says:

Three big-ass dolls, and like twenty 1/6 scale ones! XD Yep, I’m still mainly a figure collector.

Yeah, I’d like to do better photographs of the big-ass dolls. I need to get some materials to do that; I need a bigger backdrop since my foamboard is way too small for them, And I need some doll stands. It’ll probably be a few weeks till I can review Yumi so I’m gonna try to get a new photography setup going for the big-ass dolls.

  4. Chag says:

This post made me smile uncontrollably. Except the sentinel tentacle rape shots — those made me grimace a bit, though in the good way. By the end of her date with the sentinel’s cold, sharp metallic appendages, Simone’s going to be wishing for the slimy comforts of nature’s own monstrosities.

I’m glad to see the Mothra larva finally getting some love. It kind of looks like some sort of potato-radish thing. Maybe a mutated tuber from the post-apocalyptic future? Whatever it is, “edible” would be the last world I’d use to describe it.

    >”The best part about growing up is that you can decide whether you want to be grown-up or not.”
    That is a great line.

    • Tier says:

She will! Simone is a robust girl though, so she’ll be fine. And on that note, she should be careful what she wishes for. <.< Yeah, the larva looks sorta like a wilted carrot or something. It looks pretty cool but I need some other toys in a similar vein. Hmm, maybe I can sculpt my own, it can't be tough to sculpt some maggots to re-create Zanjibaru's maggot-birthing scene, can it?

  5. Aka says:

I’ve been thinking about buying that Sentinel for a while. It never occured to me to use it in such a fashion, though I don’t have any dolls or figures of this scale anyway. There’s a number of different manufacturers of the Sentinel, I wonder which one is the best?

Anyway, Miu needs more of this. I was disappointed when it was just Simone.

    • Tier says:

I bought that Sentinel solely for this purpose, though it looks much better with a big-ass doll than the 1/6 scale stuff I originally used. This one is from McFarlane Toys and it’s the biggest of the three that I know of, has decent articulation, and looks pretty good. The Hot Toys one is considerably smaller (see the picture at the bottom here) but it seems to have better articulation. I think Mezco might’ve made one and it’s not nearly as good as the others.

Miu will probably be the girl on top but then again, she’s a Japanese schoolgirl and that means she needs to take a ride with the tentacles. Her time will come soon, then.

      • Aka says:

Ah I didn’t realize they were difference scales! Maybe the Hot Toys one will be better suited to 1/6 and 1/8th scale figures? hmm!

As long as she gets some I’m happy.

        • Tier says:

It looks like it’d be good for that, just from eyeballing the relative sizes in the picture.

She will definitely be getting some, I think. As will Yumi, whenever she gets here. I wonder where she is now.

  6. Shashin says:

I remember doing Stratholme in a 10 man raid group (the day I hit 60.) I was in a zerg guild with over 500 members, but only about 10-20 were noticeable… and almost all were terrible. I remember doing the run with 2 other members in my guild, a shadow priest and a hunter. We made it to the Magistrate from the live spawn location; the group fell apart because half pulled him and the other half died in the maggot trap right before. I also have a few fond memories of a 15-20 man UBRS run that failed in a similar fashion. Vanilla was fun because the game was fairly tough, unrefined, and everyone was in terrible gear… or just plain terrible. Granted random instance groups were almost always terrible, it made it something really special when you did a run with competent guildies (something I didn’t get to experience until I left for a better guild.)

TBC was okay; though they added some cool things, leveling was a bore. Hellfire was okay, I really liked Zangarmarsh, Terokkar was more of a hub with some quests/dungeons, Nagrand was good for leveling but terribly boring, Blade’s Edge I liked but had brutal travel times and horrible graveyard runs at release (luckily I was a paladin, so I didn’t die a single time while I was leveling there), and Shadowmoon/Netherstorm were more group oriented; if I recall, Netherstorm was actually pretty cool for questing and you could do a lot solo, but Shadowmoon was almost all group stuff.

PvP was never really my thing, but the addition of arena was cool for a season or two, Eye of the Storm was okay but nothing great, and they changed Alterac Valley from something absolutely great to something that was still better than all the other battlegrounds… I’m still bitter about that change when I think about WoW; I don’t care what anyone says, being able to play a game for an hour, quit out, and come back a day later to the same game was amazing. In BC, it was just a matter of rushing with a competent group, or failing miserably with scrubs, in 10-20 minutes.

Raids were the highlight of BC for me, but unfortunately I burnt out quick. Karazhan was great fun, and I loved being there for the guild/server first Nightbane kill. Gruul’s Lair was great, but also a bittersweet moment. Got the server first High King kill (amazingly fun fight, even as a cleansebot) then were working on Gruul. Was a lot of head banging against the wall, and it seemed horribly random, but we were getting close…. then they nerfed him, rival guild got the server first, then we killed him on the first attempt. At the time, SSC and TK attunements were crazy, and I had some shit going on, so I quit the game for a bit; by the time I came back, guilds were progressing in both and I was a scrub in Kara gear. My old guild had fallen apart, so even though I had some friends in the “top” guilds (Alliance side was practically dead at this point; while Horde had already cleared SSC/TK, Alliance was like 4/6, 2/4), I wasn’t able to get into any due to only a few guilds being active and the gear difference. So I basically sat around doing my own thing for a few months, basically using the game as a glorified chat program. I quit for a few months before Wrath, came back a week or two before with a reroll, and had a blast.

Questing was easily the best thing about Wrath for me. Eight questing zones, and I really enjoyed every one. They all had some unique quests, and some epic quest lines that I’d say would even rival the line that starts from dude at the outskirts of EPL (Fordring, I think?) There was a zone or two that I didn’t like as much as the others, but it was an amazing questing experience overall. I was able to level my paladin from 70-80 (my reroll was a rogue) in my free time, fairly soon after I had done it on my rogue. 60-70 was an absolute hell, in comparison. I’d honestly say that 70-80 is worth the price of admission alone; if you haven’t experienced it, I’d give it a try.

    • Tier says:

I never got to enjoy the fun of classic WoW before they refined the game, but I do remember what it was like back when nobody really had spreadsheets and item level calculators and optimal skill rotations. I dunno, they call that “vanilla” WoW but it kinda seems to me that Lich King is pretty vanilla, since it doesn’t seem like any class/spec combos bring anything unique to the game now. I enjoyed being the windfury totem person, and I don’t see why they have so many character classes when they want to maximize skill overlap.

I despised having to get into PUGs because I was in a very small (basically three person) guild with a couple of real life friends. However, I met some really good people at the beginning of TBC while doing Hellfire Citadel PUGs and a couple years later, I was getting regular raid invites through those players. I think that’s a big reason why I enjoyed TBC so much; I was in my little guild for most of the experience (apart from a three-month stint in a raiding guild that did not go very well) and I still wound up being reasonably well-geared.

I wasn’t a hardcore PVP player but I did enjoy the competition aspect of it. My friend and I ran a shadowstep rogue/ret paladin team which was far from optimal, but we still did okay. AV was the only battleground I enjoyed because you could ignore the rest of the team and run around killing people. Blizzard did a terrible job designing the other battlegrounds because PVP should involve, well, player versus player combat, not staring at a flag for ten minutes.

I heard that Lich King was a lot of fun story-wise, but I’m not all that fond of the change to game mechanics, so I don’t think I’m ever going to take a character past level 70. It was a pretty fun game, I enjoyed the experience and I don’t regret the time that I played it, but I don’t think I’m ever going to regularly play it ever again.

      • Shashin says:

I had been playing on/off for little over a year before BC hit (January 07, right?) I started in October of 05, I believe. I actually looked up my first character on Warcraftrealms, and it shows me being level 6 in December of 05. So I guess I may have started a bit later. Still, I was 60 for about 10 months before BC hit, which is time to do quite a lot. I agree with you on the wording, I think it’s just a generic to refer to the game when it had nothing added to it; I agree that the stripping of class uniqueness was a really big mistake, but they have added a ton of other elements to the game that I couldn’t have even imagined when I was 60. It’s the whole raid viability thing; or bring the player, not the class. At 60, when you were doing Naxx, you took 1 warlock for soulstone/healthstones, and 8 tanks for 4HM. Paladins were healers/cleansebots. And so on. While it’s a noble goal to want classes to be slightly interchangeable and have viability as all specs, they went way too far with giving several classes all the different types of buffs (and not letting them stack.) I also hated them giving each side the other’s unique class in BC.

PUGs were an absolute pain in the ass, no matter what stage of the game you were playing at. I had a few good ones, but it was a rarity. I also managed to get a goodnumber of raid invites as a decent Holy Paladin. It’s actually how I was invited to several higher level guilds; I managed to raid with them a few times, got invited back when they did fun runs, and then eventually had an open invitation to join.

Pretty much agree with you on the BGs; though I did enjoy AB if I had a competent team (or facing one); really easy honor and a pretty cool concept. It was just painful as all hell when it was a back and forth 2/3 split… I’d just alt tab most of the time there, coming back in to move my keyboard every few minutes… before they added the option to report AFKers, anyway.

It really was. I didn’t really have much interest in my Paladin when I leveled him to 80 (going from a Rogue to a Retadin in crappy gear is not an easy change…), but I still had a lot of fun doing all the quests again. I promised myself that I wouldn’t pick up WoW again, but if I ever did relapse, it would either be because they created a “vanilla” server or to do the 70-80 quests again.

        • Tier says:

Yeah, I agree with that; admittedly, I guess I’m biased because paladin blessings were the most powerful buffs in the game up to WotLK and windfury totem was one of the most powerful (and almost certainly the most loved) melee buffs. When you play a game with thousands of other people, a large number of whom look exactly like you, are competing for the same group and raid spots, and are all ostensibly heroes in the game’s storyline, it’s nice to be able to stand out, but it’s a lot harder when everyone does the same thing. On the other hand, classic WoW raiding sucked. I remember just standing there hitting the Decursive hotkey and raid healing because none of the raid leaders really cared what I did, as long as I was cleansing and healing. I dunno, it seems like there ought to be some way to provide for flexible raid compositions, keeping all class/spec combos raid-viable, and allowing for some level of uniqueness, whether in terms of abilities or potential damage output. Ehh, though then again, what do I know, it’s been two years since I did my last raid.

A vanilla server would be interesting, but with them revising Azeroth in Cataclysm, I’m guessing it’s pretty low on their priority list. It’s kinda hard to remember that the game is six years old now; it seems like the major part of the game’s evolution occurred only relatively recently, and sometimes it seems like they still have no clue what they’re doing even with so much development time.

  7. Shashin says:

Yeah, while the encounters were fairly amazing in mechanics and scenery… as a paladin, you were pretty much limited to a screen full of raid bars/spamming Decursive; which pretty much kept you from viewing the scenery and seeing how well put together the encounter was.

They’ve said countless times that they’ll never do such a thing, but they’ve done the same for many other features that are now monetized; a server is much more expensive to maintain than giving players the ability to change their race/gender/name, but I’d imagine if there was enough demand for it, they would introduce it in a heartbeat for an extra $X a month. With Cataclysm coming, it would actually be the perfect time for a vanilla server; before people were just wanting one so that they could do their Azeroth raids and such without new talents/gear tainting the challenge – now that Azeroth is going to be completely changed forever, and not just phased like an instance as you level, a vanilla server would allow those to relive the fond memories of an untouched Azeroth. Yeah, the game moved at a fairly slow pace, even up through BC excluding patch 2.0, but WotLK brought a whole bunch of changes in how they wanted the classes and such to interact.

    • Tier says:

Haha, yeah, I remember healing on boss fights and I wouldn’t have a clue whether the fight was going well or poorly because all I was doing was looking at health bars and my mana bar. I found a pic of my user interface, just before TBC dropped. I wound up doing more healing towards the end of TBC but at least I cleaned up all that clutter.

Yeah, I think they would as well, though I’m guessing there’d have to be huge demand for them to run a server operating on a different rule set and featuring a different game environment. They might decide they’re better off just putting more developers on Diablo III instead. Speaking of which, I loved the first two Diablo games but I’m getting a bad feeling about D3; I’ve got this sense that it’s gonna be more MMO and less item-finding action game.

I said something about characters not looking unique but nobody can say that my paladin didn’t stand out while tank-spec’ed.

      • Shashin says:

I was always incredibly lazy and just used the standard UI with “necessary”: add-ons. I say “necessary” because all guilds required the use of Decursive, but I always found it easier/quicker to do it manually, since you had the GCD anyway; 1 second is more than enough to hit the spell and select the highest priority target. Anyhow, as such, whenever we were in a 40 man raid, my screen would be absolutely swamped with the default raid bars (or the even bulkier boss mods bars.)

Yeah, it’s very unlikely that it will ever happen, but I think that if it ever were to happen, now would be the time for it. I’m not all too excited about Diablo II, despite loving the first two. Can’t really say why, though. I agree with you that the item finding action was what made it so damn addictive.

I’m really sad to say that 99% of my thousands of WoW screenshots are forever lost. I have a handful of mostly silly shots uploaded to my Photobucket account, and I might have some on preBC (around the time I got a new computer) shots on a portable hard drive, if I haven’t replaced everything on it with porn… but everything else is gone. I deleted it without a second thought about a month or two after I quit WoW close to two years back. I regret the decision now, as there were certainly some shots in there that would bring up a lot of memories, both good and bad.

I never had much of a raid UI during classic Warcraft since I hardly raided; I think the sum total of my raid experience was three or four Onyxia raids, three MC raids, and one BWL, ZG, and AQ20 raid each. I did find Decursive to be very useful because it was a one-button solution and I didn’t really have any idea what I was doing most of the time, anyway. I was a much better and prepared raider during TBC.

Yeah, I dunno, something about D3 isn’t getting me all that excited. Maybe it’s because I really didn’t like the emphasis on the magic-find stat in D2 (I hated having to sacrifice wearing my best gear to stack MF, particularly since the point of the game was to get gear). Maybe it’s because I’m old as hell now. Maybe it’s because I’m really disappointed how none of the character classes wear revealing armor like the female D2 classes do.

I’ve backed up my Warcraft screenshots to two external hard disks and a flash drive, just because I really like looking at them. I’ve kept all my screenshots all the MMOs I’ve played, from Ultima Online to Warcraft. I’m a compulsive pack rat (both in real life and in digital) so I save everything, and I frequently go back through them because I like reviewing old memories. I wonder if that explains why I became so enthused with both photography and blogging.

Yeah, mine is probably similar. A few complete BWL clears, tons of MC, even more ZG, with very little AQ.I could spam the hell out of the Decursive button like it was no one’s business, and I often had to, due to terrible class/raid leaders who based ability entirely on stats (with them frequently linking Decursive numbers in chat.) I remember I had just joined a raid guild, and it was my first time in AQ20. They cleared the meters right before some trash that basically does nothing but poison you. After the pack was killed, and the numbers were posted, they kicked the paladin out of the guild who was highest on healing with fewest Decurses; I was highest on Decurses with some healing. >_> Still, whenever I was in a situation I didn’t have to use Decursive, I tried to actively choose my targets; I know you could tweak the options a bit for the program yourself, but it always felt like cheating to me, especially when it was still easy to do it manually.

At the very least, there will probably patches to solve that last problem. I enjoyed custom skins with WoW every now and then, but I always removed them after I admired them for a bit, as I was terrified of getting banned.

I’m really sad that I deleted all of my screenshots. I don’t even remember why I deleted them; my train of thought was certainly flawed. I knew I’d probably never go back to the game, but that doesn’t mean I’d never want to look at the screenshots I took. I’m also a bit of a pack rat myself, if you couldn’t tell by my frequent descriptions of living space; granted I’d have even less space if everything was out on display versus in boxes.

I actually decided to open up a random box in my closet, to see what type of goodies I was missing out on while I’m in this constrained area. I couldn’t have picked a better box, honestly (excluding the massive box that has 30-40 dakimakura covers, but that one is easily accessible.) Three figures (military Xecty, black bondage Kanu, and wet Ryomou Shimei), ~5 dakimakura covers (a Carnelian, and mostly mass market ones), Shin Koihime sheet set, and anime boxsets/hentai DVDs. Was like finding lost treasure in my own space.

Your vmf50 photos make me happy. Can’t wait to see you really go all out with them.

    • Tier says:

Thanks! I’ve got some more cool (and weird) vmf50 stuff coming in over the next few months, I’m looking forward to it. And hopefully Yumi gets here soon.

I was most delighted when I saw your comment and the photo you processed after almost 10 months of absence. Yagyu Jubei was beautiful! And I love your photos, your creativity and effort in bringing out the best of the figures (Kurisu and Kureha; I love the water effect!).

A very late thank you for dropping by! ^^

I’ve been a lurker on your website for quite some time and I love your reviews, but where do you purchase these dolls from? Yahoo Japan Auction? If so, what section or what do you search up?

    • Tier says:

I got both of these from Yahoo Japan Auctions; I just searched for “vmf50” in the search box to find them. However, Yamato USA is now selling Miu for the low low price of $929.95. That’s actually cheaper than what I bought her for.
