Eleonora Viltaria from Lord Marksman and Vanadis

FREEing has been rolling out the bunnygirl figures, but we haven’t looked at one in a while. Further, today is Halloween, a day celebrated by the wearing of costumes and distribution of sweets, so we’ll observe the occasion by taking a look at Eleonora Viltaria, whose fetching and immodest bunnysuit provides for no insignificant amount of eye candy.

Eleonora Viltaria figure

Eleonora comes from the light novel and anime series Madan no Ou to Vanadis, rendered in English as Lord Marksman and Vanadis. I watched the first episode or so and I can’t say I was particularly captivated. That said, I didn’t detest it either so perhaps it’s something I might give another look down the line. The character designs at least are quite compelling, which is really all the motivation I need to investigate a show, even if the story is nothing special.

Eleonora Viltaria figure

Like all of FREEing’s bunnygirl figures, Eleonora is sculpted in 1/4 scale and even though she’s kneeling, her total height is an impressive 30 centimeters counting the bunny ears. No base is included or necessary to display her.

The series presents Eleonora as a martially-inclined princess. She’s a proficient warrior, an adept wizard, and a beloved leader. The figure does a pretty good job of capturing her cool confidence, which is conveyed through her direct gaze and warm smile.

Her pose has her on her knees with her back arched and arms raised up, thrusting her breasts out for inspection. It’s an ostentatiously sexy pose, which is not actually all that common a theme amongst FREEing’s bunnygirl lineup.

Eleonora’s leotard is colored an attractive blue that provides a pleasing complement to her white hair and red eyes. Interestingly, the top of her leotard comes off to reveal her breasts. I’m not too familiar with the source material but I don’t recall that the anime featured very many scenes with exposed tits. We don’t typically get this sort of fanservice with FREEing’s bunnygirls, even on characters that come from fanservice-heavy shows (I kind of doubt that we’ll see this feature on their upcoming To Love-Ru figures, even though that series is amongst the most suggestive in terms of fanservice), but this feature is a happy inclusion indeed. Her areolae are a bit faint and her nipples could be more detailed, but aside from those nitpicks I won’t complain.

Also unusual is that Eleonora’s leotard features a thong back, which looks very nice indeed. Most of her bunnygirl compatriots instead sport full seats in their suits, and I wish that more figures would take Eleonora’s lead. Eleonora’s backside is marvelously sculpted, and FREEing must know this since the majority of this figure’s preorder figures were shot from the rear.

When one buys a 1/4 scale FREEing figure, one can know what they’re getting if they’ve ever seen one in person. The details of the sculpt are good but not outstanding, and one could be forgiven for thinking that this larger size would provide for more opportunity to deliver a more intricate sculpt. Similarly, the paintwork is attractive but not exemplary; her outfit is colored with a pleasing glossy finish and her skin is matte, but there’s not a lot of shading there. Her tights are made of real material which looks very nice; as usual, they are attached to the figure, and the owner does not need to dress up the figure him or herself.

FREEing’s Eleonora is a very lovely figure, perhaps my favorite amongst all their bunnygirl figures. Any figure combining an attractive character design with a sexy sculpt is a winner in my estimation, and the huge size of this figure makes a great figure even better. The exposable breasts and lovely thong are just the cherries on top of the confection. The bunnygirls are expensive but I’m very happy with this acquisition nonetheless.

TBH I used to think she is pretty bland but you just proved again that simple = classic. It’s either because of her smile or your photos I don’t know, and that thong is definitely a treat on Halloween night. I also believe that MOMO won’t come with cast-off which is shame but after your review I don’t know if I can hold my wallet against her anymore 🙁 Thanks for the wonderful shots as always!

    • Tier says:

Yeah, I really doubt Momo will be castoff-able either. I guess it’s still good though; the main selling point for me is the very large size. It’s really surprising how large these figures are, even though I own a number of 1/4 scale figures already.

  2. Iduna says:

Where did you get the tentacle base? Have you ever reviewed it/could you do a quick review?

  3. Ha ha! Funny how I too own a Cecilia, Infinite Stratos 1/4 from Freeing. These are some nice figures if I say so myself. But if it come with cast off option like this one, it would be even better. But yeah, I know what you mean.

    • Tier says:

Yeah, that’s a great figure too – well, both of them are, since as I recall, Freeing has two figures of Cecilia. They must really like the Infinite Stratos characters.

  4. Bostonbrandon says:

I’m certainly quite taken by the thong and exposable breasts, but those hands though!

    • Tier says:

I’m holding the figure trying to see if the hands look funny to me, but I don’t think I see anything. They’re not too detailed for their size, though.

      • BostonBrandon says:

I had intended to mean that her hands look very nice. The way in which her fingers are intertwined couldn’t have been easy to sculpt.

        • Tier says:

Ah, right right. Yeah, they did a nice job of that. (And they’ve done a nice job with their upcoming bunny girl figures. I groaned looking at the Wonder Festival coverage, since I know I’m going to order both Yuis and Mikan.)

I really like Madan no Ou to Vanadis, it was a fun show and also showed some battle tactics ;). Instead of Eleonora I was more drawn to Limalisha, under her cold shell she was more girly and adorable (‐^▽^‐). Unfortunately she has no figure, not even a bad one haha.

The butt of your reviewed figure here looks indeed marvelous even with all the warrior training, it looks nicely big and juicy. I’m not sure if I like figures with bunnysuits, of course it looks nice, but maybe I would get bored of such an outfit too easily, nevertheless the glossy effects of these suits is always quite appealing. I liked FREEings High School DxD Born adaption of Koneko a lot ♥.

I think subtle blush would make her pretty face more lively, some red paint can’t be too expensive in mass production ^^ The cast off option is a nice extra, it appears to be decided randomly.

I only watched the first couple of episodes; maybe I should give it another try. I’m trying to watch Trinity Seven now (after having not watched much of anything the last couple of anime seasons) but it’s a really dull show – one would think a show where the world (as the main character knows it) ends in the first episode would have a little more drama, but there’s none to be found. I keep hoping that any of these harem-centric, ordinary-guy-turns-into-Superman shows might be good, but I don’t think I’ve found one yet. (I did like Limalisha’s character design though; the side ponytail is very cute.)

It’s kinda funny how FREEing’s bunnysuit figures can be kinda plain, but a few of them – like Koneko-chan and Irisdina Bernhard – are really, really showy. It would be nice if FREEing could take these figures to the next level by taking advantage of their large size but I guess I’m happy that there’s at least one manufacturer making 1/4 scale figures on a consistent basis.

      • wieselhead says:

I didn’t watch Trinity Seven, MAL ratings look fine, but actually that also doesn’t say too much (≧∇≦). Limalisha ♥ haha I’m really a bit sour about her getting no figures.

FREEing does a good job with their 1/4 scaled figures,

        • Tier says:

It’s a little disconcerting how you can watch an anime episode and at the end, realize that the plot went nowhere. I get that feeling a lot when I watch Trinity Seven. It really doesn’t help that they spend an episode (or more) introducing each character, but not really saying a lot about them. The character designs are nice but I wouldn’t recommend the anime.

Ahh yet another tempting Freeing girl to add to the quarter-scale harem. Dunno the character or the source but such trifles can’t slow down the runaway figure freight train at this point. Heh, I know that background material. I got the dark blue version years ago precisely for a figure shoot (that I’ve yet to use it for) so it’s neat to at least see that it makes for a good shoot. I’m occasionally fixated on shooting light through things so that is my ultimate experiment with it.

Winter’s getting cold and I’ve finally got a new camera so it’s time to warm up the old creative lobe by perhaps borrowing some inspiration from you [again].

    • Tier says:

Indeed! I feel a little badly that I have far more figures unopened (or even removed from the shipping boxes) than I have reviewed this year. Heh, yeah, the background is actually the floor I used for a Gotou Matabei review years and years ago. I didn’t buy it to use it as a background but it’s hard for me to shoot 1/4 scale figures on the backdrops I usually use, just because the figures are so big.

New toys are always fun! I hope you have fun using it XD That reminds me that I haven’t bought any new camera equipment for a while and I kinda have the irrational itch to buy myself something neat.
