Satellizer el Bridget from Freezing Vibration (Y-Shirt Version) (NSFW)

Satellizer el Bridget from Freezing Vibration

We go from the regrettably miniature to the sublimely large today. The sheer size of FREEing’s 1/4 scale figures constitutes a large portion of their cachet, with their sculpts typically towering over a foot in height, or in this case, length. Their appeal is not based on size alone, however; these products almost always depict sexy anime girls in showy or compromising positions. Satellizer is obviously no exception.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

Satellizer el Bridget (or L. Bridget, perhaps; I’m going by what’s printed on the box) is the lead character of the manga (or manhwa) and anime series Freezing. The series received a second season a couple of years back; I didn’t watch it, as I wasn’t that entertained by the first season and I had no desire to see more of Aoi Kazuya, the show’s tiresome and superfluous male protagonist. Further, I can’t recall ever seeing an anime whose second season was as good as or better than the first. Then again, it’s not like Freezing’s initial season set the bar very high. Maybe I’ll take a look at it someday. I do know there’s a neat scene where Elizabeth gets plugged in and zapped while strapped to a chair, which is pretty hot.

This figure is manufactured by FREEing in 1/4 scale and measures around 10 centimeters in height and 38 centimeters in length. She comes with a bunch of clothing options, allowing her to be displayed according to her owner’s desired level of perversity. No base is provided, nor is one needed to keep her stable; this is a very hefty, solidly-built figure.

Those who own FREEing’s earlier “Sexy Version” of Satellizer may feel a sense of deja vu upon seeing this figure. This new figure – dubbed the “Y-shirt Version” – inherits much of the look of its predecessor, from the matte paint finish common to almost all of FREEing’s 1/4 scale figures to the design of her clothing. To save time for anyone who already owns the earlier figure: if you like that one, you’ll like this one, too.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

This version of Satellizer does have a crucial difference from its forebear; this figure is meant to mate with a figure of Elizabeth Mably, Satellizer’s fellow Englishperson. Unfortunately Elizabeth’s release date got kicked back to May; hopefully she’ll be out soon.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

The earlier figure was labeled “Sexy” but its pose was a good deal tamer than the one held by this version. In her original 1/4 scale incarnation, Satellizer was lying on her side in a fairly demure pose; here, Satellizer is face-down, ass-up on all fours, with an almost sheepish smile on her face. Her pose means that the number of ideal viewing angles is highly limited; she’s best viewed from her right side. Even with those constraints, her ass comprises the focal point of this sculpt.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

Satellizer can be displayed wearing glasses; I’m not a big fan of anime girls with glasses, but Satellizer looks pretty good while wearing them.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

Without her spectacles, she looks a little sleepy – a rather unusual look for the Untouchable Queen.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

Just like the earlier figure, Satellizer can be displayed while wearing a white dress shirt. It looks alright and is easy to remove, even though it separates into three parts. She can also be displayed wearing fishnet thighhighs. As I did not use these with my earlier Freezing figures, I do not know if there is any risk of them staining the skin of the figure.

Satellizer still wears the same purple underwear and, as one might expect, her bra is removable.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

The nudity is expected but Satellizer’s doggy-style pose makes it difficult to see her breasts. Her stigmata marks are also completely covered up by her hair, but they are present on her back.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

Like virtually all of FREEing’s 1/4 scale figures, Satellizer’s paint job exhibits a matte finish. It’s not the sort of paintwork that is calculated to impress, and it could even be termed a little cheap-looking, but I like it, myself; it lets the figure’s size attract more of the attention.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

The attractiveness of the sculpt is quite evident, assuming one likes this sort of thing. Satellizer’s long legs, thickly-built thighs, and powerful buttocks are all conspicuous and are all highlights of this figure. There’s some detailing around her body, including her rib cage and the backs of her knees, but there’s perhaps less body and muscle definition than one might expect, considering the size of the figure. Also, I can’t help thinking that her left hand looks a little strange.

Satellizer el Bridget figure

But that’s not really a big deal to me; I quite like this figure of Satellizer el Bridget regardless. The size, of course, is a big draw, and so is the unabashed lewdness of this figure’s design. While Freezing’s plotting and characterization are not exactly stellar, the character designs are highly attractive, and this is a fine adaptation of the busty blonde heroine of the series. Hopefully Elizabeth turns out as well; I am certain that they are going to make a great-looking couple.

    Hi,
Do you use a true color chart for your pictures ? For white balance…

    • Tier says:

I do not; I do have a calibration device for my computer monitor, and I do all my color correcting in Lightroom and Photoshop. Most of my photos have a green tint when I import them onto my computer, and I don’t really like that.

  2. wieselhead says:

That looks like a really pretty figure, I like the way the figure is posed and how she is looking at the viewer. The glasses are great ^^ The combination of open white shirt and purple lingerine for some reason attractive girls always look lovely in open white shirts ;D

Castoff might be no necessary feature for this figure, but nice to have ^^
As you said she looks best from a certain angle, but that actually applies to many figures, but with her face fully tuned to one side it feels more limited.

satellizer-02 is a wonderful picture, brings out all of her good points (。⌒∇⌒)。

    • Tier says:

It’s kind of funny; when I was looking over the pictures, I think I prefer how the figure looks when fully clothed and with the glasses than in just her underwear. Usually it’s the other way around for me. Nonetheless it’s great to see FREEing making more Freezing figures; hopefully they make more after they get Elizabeth out the door.

  3. DP says:

Nice figure! I’m glad to see you have another big one.

I thought season 2 of FREEZING was more fun. The focus was MUCH more on the various girls. Annoying male lead faded into the background in many episodes.

    • Tier says:

That would be a huge plus in its favor; maybe I ought to check it out, then. I don’t understand why so many studios, writers, and artists think putting in a whiny, emo, weakling male lead adds anything positive to a show.

  4. Halbred says:

Can’t see her rack. No sale!

  5. BostonBrandon says:

    Good God… That ass!

I suppose Obama would have been too small to make an appearance but this figure practically begs you to incorporate the tentacle stand. If you pick up and review Elizabeth Mably please consider it’s use.

    • Tier says:

Erp … I can’t believe I forgot to use the tentacle stand. I’m definitely getting senile or something, or the warmer weather has addled my brain. It will definitely make an appearance when Elizabeth shows up.

  6. Tsunami3k says:

Wow, now I really can’t wait to see how well the matched pair stack up. The pose is great but it’s a shame that the inherent tradeoff is her fairly minimized exposure, or rather, a more bottom-centric emphasis at the cost of a fairly hidden top. But gads that purple lingerie is a powerful draw and contrasts perfectly with her hair. I haven’t seen a combo like that since that Rental Magica figure from a ways back (Len Mathers I think).

Jeez, I’ve still got to get Rana Linchen from the first Freeing set.

    • Tier says:

I’m curious as to how Elizabeth actually sits on Satellizer; I’m guessing there will be some sort of brace to keep her upright, and if there is, I hope that it works well and that it isn’t too conspicuous.

      • Tsunami3k says:

I seem to recall that butts are one of the Euclidean “perfect” geometries and thus tend to naturally interlock (or perhaps the notion is just a residual trace of one of those quasi-lucid dreams where any of a number of absurdities are synonymous with absolute fact).

tldr; Hopefully no stand/brace will be necessary except for displaying her solo.

        • New2figures says:

in some promo pics you can see a small clear piece of something that goes between them. propped up by Satellizer, sat on by Elizabeth

        • Tier says:

That would not be surprising! Well, hopefully whatever brace or prop is required to keep Elizabeth sitting upright is inconspicuous. And sturdy, since it would be a tremendous shame if she crashed to the floor from the shelf. Though these figures feel so solid they might be able to survive that without a problem.

  7. New2figures says:

just recently purchased and received the original pose of Satellizer, had a little trouble with casting off because the head won’t detach even though it suppose to. Still possible to cast off even with the head attached, but I digress.
While both look great I like the first one more because her legs and feet look sexier on that one.
While I understand the design because of Elizabeth they should still look good together having Satellizer lying at Elizabeth’s feet.
    I have Elizabeth on pre-order :p

    • Tier says:

I like both figures though I’m not sure which I prefer. Anime tends to focus on breasts (given all the Japanese slang that I’ve heard) rather than the backside, but I think I appreciate a figure with a nice rear more, since that sort of thing seems slightly less common. Regardless, both figures are really nice; all the FREEing Freezing figures are really nice, I should say.

  8. Jegan2020 says:

Will Freeing release Cassandra? The Legendary Pandora who was every bit better than Satellizer from having bigger boobs to the strongest pandora after maria herself.

    • Tier says:

I really, really doubt it; these figures are based off of the anime so if they continue the line, I’d guess the next most likely candidate might be Amelia. I guess if Freezing got a third season, it could be possible, though (I don’t know how well the anime did, but there’s certainly a lot of merchandising potential tied to the property).

  9. Tsukihenshin says:

You can soak and colored Material in White Vinegar for an hour and rinse really good and the color will not Stain 🙂

    • Tier says:

A good idea; I probably should have done that with some of my doll outfits before I got Inori’s legs all stained up by her dark-colored socks.

  10. A-monk says:

Just asking but what happened to that Elizabeth Mably figure that came along with the Satellizer figure here? Because I am still waiting on that review.
