Sigui from Queen’s Blade Rebellion (Excellent Model Limited Version) (NSFW)

Sigui from Queen's Blade Rebellion

A holy woman and an inquisitor, Sigui’s official bio says that she is not a cruel person and is generally a good woman, and also that she enjoys burning heretics. Indeed, the slaughter of those people whose beliefs diverge from her own is her mission and she shows no hesitation or remorse in persecuting such people. But aside from her religious fanaticism – which basically comprises her entire life – she’s a good person. Yep.

Sigui figure, no top

Based off the Lost World game books published by the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company Flying Buffalo, the Queen’s Blade franchise has achieved remarkable success, expanding from its humble origins of fanservice-oriented books to become a multimedia juggernaut. Queen’s Blade Rebellion is the sequel to the first series, and while the original Queen’s Blade was mostly fanservice, at least at the start, Rebellion appears to have been conceived with a plot in mind. A number of story books have been published to flesh out the plot of the series, and a television anime is scheduled to air, presumably next year.

Sigui's rear

Sigui is designed by Oda Non, who also created bondage gladiator Branwen. She appears to be an antagonist to Rebellion series lead Annelotte, whom she despises because of her partially demonic origin. Sigui fights with an oddly-shaped mace and various holy poses, which I’m sure will be interesting to see. Perhaps the Rebellion OVAs bundled with a couple of soon-to-be-released artbooks will provide a glimpse of those.

Incidentally, her name seems to be spelled “Siggy” by most people but both the figure box and the Vanquished Queens artbook give her name as “Sigui,” so that’s what I’m going with.

Sigui's thong

This figure is manufactured by MegaHouse in 1/8 scale. However, she has a relatively realistic body build rather than the small torso, huge head combination that female anime characters often have, and so at 19.5 centimeters tall she’s a bit undersized – particularly since her actual height of 165 centimeters is given by her official biography. While the first Sigui figure was sold by normal retail channels, this version of Sigui was exclusive to Japan. In addition, a version of this figure with black clothing and eyeglasses was sold.

More thong

The characters of the Queen’s Blade series are known for showing skin, and even a holy woman like Sigui is not exempted from this tradition. Here, Sigui is caught in a vulnerable moment, clad only in lingerie and tugging a stocking up her thigh. The white color of her clothing extends an aura of purity to her look, sharply contrasting with the stark sexuality she exudes. Both of these aspects are accentuated by the evident nonchalance of her sideways glance, as if she does not mind being observed while dressing. That look – completely neutral but still so expressive – lends a voyeuristic appeal to the figure and further emphasizes its eroticism.

Sigui

I sometimes groan a bit whenever I get a MegaHouse Queen’s Blade figure. Even though they are almost always beautiful and exceptional figures, they often include a billion additional accessories and sometimes feature really complicated castoff mechanisms that are sometimes difficult to figure out. Sigui, however, is a bit of an exception – which comes as no surprise because she’s hardly wearing any clothing to start with. Indeed, she’s packaged with her breasts bared, which I’m sure will delight any customs inspectors who may examine the box. Her accessories are few – she comes with a clothing stand, which is really her mace, a small bit of cloth that drapes into her cleavage, and a pair of pasties. She comes with one of the smallest figure bases I’ve ever seen, though a larger plastic disc is provided to place both the figure and her clothing stand on if so desired.

Sigui lit up with pasties

The characters of Queen’s Blade are designed by a multitude of artists and thus comprise a multitude of styles. Sigui’s design features an older, more womanly body build. Wasp-waisted with long legs, thick thighs, and broad hips, she is much more on the sexy side of the spectrum, in contrast to cuter, youthful-looking characters like Airi and Mirim. Her body is beautiful to behold, and her sexiness is enhanced by the alluring tilt of her torso and head.

Sigui from the knees up

One of her accessories does add a bit of a cute flair to her look, however. She can hold a bit of cloth in her mouth, adding a flirty and playful touch to her sexiness. I really like the contrast it presents and it’s the way I prefer to display her.

Siggy with pasties

A bit of chasteness can be added by covering up her nipples with a pair of pasties. They are vaguely cross-shaped and come with a bit of 3M mounting tape affixed to their reverse side, so that they can be stuck right on her chest. That bit of cloth that she holds in her mouth is likewise secured – precariously, to be sure – with a dab of mounting tape. Her pasties hardly conceal anything and don’t fit very well, but I sort of like how they look; even though they give her a modicum of modesty, I think they also add a touch of erotic sensuality by hiding just enough.

Siggy's butt

Although she’s not wearing much, her clothing is quite nicely detailed. Both her corset and her stocking sport a very attractive satin-like sheen. Her garter belt features an eye-catching floral pattern. The blue color of her headdress provides a brilliant splash of color that provides a beautiful complement to her sandy-colored hair. And of course, her thong is awesome.

Siggy figure

MegaHouse’s Queen’s Blade figures are generally superb and Sigui is no exception. Her seductive pose and her spectacular ass and chest are fantastic and are definitely worthwhile reasons to purchase this figure, but what I like best are the contrasts she presents. I like the palpable sensuality she radiates despite being a holy woman as well as the innocence she manifests even though she’s all but nude. She also demonstrates visual contrasts in the bright color of her headdress and with her one bare leg. There’s a ton of stuff to like here and though purchasing a figure through a proxy can be a bit expensive, Sigui was well worth the price.

As usual, that was an excellent review (and read), I’ve never gotten into watching Queen’s Blade at all… due to the assumption of it being a mindless fanservice show. Nevertheless, it knows what it is, and so rightfully accepted. I know next to nothing about the series, but I do know, I LOVE priestesses, be it Miko or Christian-inspired (Played Ragnarok Online~). That figure looks oh so delicious, though lacking in tentacle flare!~ Beautiful set Tier.

    • Tier says:

That’s pretty much what it is, though there’s kind of a plot and the characters are likeable. Mainly though, it’s about hot girls in thongs slashing each other’s clothes off. I’m looking forward to more of that in the Rebellion anime.

Yeah, I forgot to bring out the tentacle stand; that’s a shame since I was photographing it just a couple of days ago with some dolls. Of course, each of those tentacles is as thick as Sigui’s waist but I’ve seen some hentai games and anime where that wasn’t a problem at all.

I just realized this is probably the first Queen’s Blade-related post I’ve made where I never whined about the lack of an Irma figure. Maybe I’m losing hope.

      • Kyzel says:

I might not watch the anime, but I do appreciate the doujinshi that comes with every con. And of course in the realm of hentai, anything, no matter how big or long, will fit. LOL. Don’t lose hope! Maybe you’re just… adjusting to how it really goes? As for me, I’m ma wait for a Charlotte Dunois figure to get your attention and make a shoot out of. (Yes, Infinite Stratos is lackluster, but Charlotte makes it worth watching ep 5 to ep 9.) The fact that her popularity exceed her shows memorability, should prove her appeal.
And to not double post (on the preorder page); I’m using a 3 year old laptop (decent) for school and miscellaneous activities (read; internet surfing) while away from home. It works, though an upgrade seems like in order. But, that Sonico figure… Now that I know it’s cheaper than what I originally assumed, is really tempting. XD

        • Tier says:

Charlotte does appear to be the most popular girl from the show, along with perhaps the German girl (whose name escapes me right now). I’ve noticed that the Chinese girl and especially Houki don’t get much love; in fact, it seems like the Chinese girl is mostly ignored and Houki is mostly disliked. Man there’s some great Infinite Stratos doujinshi out there, though. Although maybe the show wasn’t that great, it’s fantastic that it provided so much inspiration to some very talented artists.

      • Cantan says:

Have to say that I came to this page, admired the pictures then hit Ctrl+F “Irma”.

Almost surprised you lasted that long… but in the response to the first post? No you’re not over it yet!

        • Tier says:

I ought to jot down an outline before writing reviews. I actually meant to whine about Irma but I completely forgot about it while typing this up. It’s kinda like how I probably should write down a shot list before I start shooting, since there are a ton of times where I forget a shot and either have to set up everything again or just do without.

          • Kyzel says:

Out of curiosity, I checked your other Queen’s Blade posts, just to check how much you yearn for an Irma figure; and well, the only real post you whined about the there not being one. The Risty one, you did complain — in the comments. *Ahem* Though from two posts alone, I could almost wager your ‘obsession’? for Irma, would be like mine for Charlotte. Also, thou should make an IRC channel or join one (Sorry, if there is an IRC that I don’t know about)… And just wondering, would you get a Sena (from Haganai) figure if there are worth getting? (Meat is meaty in the anime. :D)

          • Kyzel says:

Uh, missed to type Leina post* >_> /edit!

  2. Nightmare says:

I much prefer this blue, angelic Sigui over the black version. While not a regular MegaHouse fan, this figure looks quite good and I’m pleasantly surprised to see such great looking eyes on a figure like this. Her chest and rear are nicely sculpted as well. The only downside would be that hanging sock. It could be the angle but to me it looks like she’s having one for breakfast rather than holding it suggestively with her mouth while (un)dressing herself.

Most of the shots look great per usual. Really digging you going into experimental mode turning her into a human light bulb in #7 and #8 to enhance her holiness.

    • Tier says:

MegaHouse is sort of a curious company. They’ve done some really awesome stuff and some stuff that’s not quite so good. Pretty much every Queen’s Blade figure I’ve got of theirs is excellent, but their Queen’s Gate Yagyu Jubei leaves quite a bit to be desired. Their Ga-rei Zero figures are a bit off, too.

One of the big advantages of shooting in E-TTL (or iTTL) is that the camera automatically adjusts flash power when you change the aperture but shooting in manual mode kinda worked in my favor for those light bulb shots; I opened up the aperture wider than I was shooting, was like, “Man, I’m too lazy to reduce flash power on all these units, I’m just gonna shoot and see what happens” and it worked out better than I thought it would.

  3. NegativeZero says:

Great pictures! Since I have the original Sigui I went with the black one, for some contrast. Very well done. Also I got my Heat Blade that you caused me to buy 🙂 Thanks!

    • Tier says:

Thanks! Yeah, if I had the original Sigui figure, I think I might’ve rolled with the black one as well. And Heat Blade looks great too – a very underrated figure, in my opinion, sorta like the Diskvision Iroha figure.

  4. Wieselhead says:

    A sexy little devil 😀

Sigui looks a bit more like a Pin up girl than the general Queens Blade character.
I hadn’t expected that Megahouse could make such a figure, most of their QB figures are, aside from some nudity still more on the cute than sensual side.

She looks like a great figure, her curves seem to be very well sculpted also the more natural shaped boobs look fantastic and her plump butt looks just nice and round ^_^

I like the amorous touch of this Sigui figure a lot, the half opened eyes and the beauty mark are gorgeous. Also her clothes accentuate that amorous part of her nicely, with only wearing one stocking she is just enchanting. The feature that can hold her stocking in the mouth is quite interesting.

    • Tier says:

She’s a fantastic figure for sure. Probably the only thing I’d complain about is I’d like her to be a bit bigger, but I complain about the size of all my figures if they’re not 1/4 scale. They definitely did a great job with amping up her sex appeal, and I appreciate that a lot since I have this thing for sexy nuns. (I had thought about ordering a figure of Prism Ark’s Sister Hell just because I like sexy nuns but I never did, partially because I thought Orchid Seed was going to do one. I wonder what ever happened to that figure?)

  5. Phil says:

    Nice Curves :p

More figures should be realistic like this

    • Tier says:

I agree! They did a great job with giving her a realistic (sort of) body with just a bit of anime styling in her face.

And, uhh, man, rough week for the Redskins, huh? It’s a pretty bad day when two of your best players on offense.

  6. TomTheCat says:

Like Nightmare and Wieselhead said, that “piece of cloth” in her mouth is the second stocking which she’s about to put on. Yes, put on, not take off. If she were undressing, she’d already have cast it aside and wouldn’t care to keep it at hand 😉

Other than that, it’s a fantastic sculpt, and you captured that very appropriately with your excellent photos. Thanks for sharing.

    • Tier says:

For some reason I was thinking her other stocking was draped over her mace so it didn’t even come to mind that that is what she’s holding in her mouth. Curious, the way the brain works sometimes. Not that mine works all that well, most of the time.

This figure was quite a bit of fun to shoot, even though I didn’t have many ideas on how I wanted to shoot it when I started. I always like those kinds of figures, where I don’t really know what to expect but I’m pretty happy with how the pictures turn out.

      • TomTheCat says:

I particularly like shot #25, where light and shadow play around both her nipples in the best Playboy tradition (And that’s not at all a bad thing!). You’re not seriously trying to tell me that’s the result of coincidence?

  7. feal87 says:

Nice pictures as always and nice figure as well…
Queen’s blade sure is a good choice for ero-figures…:P

  8. BioToxic says:

Oddly I liked the black version more than this blue one. The black one has evil looking purple eyes and comes with glasses which really flips the tone of her character. Her standard release with the red hook weapon is also nice, but this limited one has way more sex appeal. She may not be my cup of tea but I can certainly appreciate her. Just look at those curves!

The clothes stand / mace is cool although her clothes seem to be a little too small. Maybe that’s why QB characters clothes seem to explode on contact with sharp objects – they’re stretched to breaking point before commencing battle.

Siggy isn’t really one of my favourites from Rebellion. She makes for a more interesting nun character than Melpha that’s for sure, but compared to some of the others she’s still rather plain. Hopefully her OVA spices her up a bit as a character and antagonist to Annelotte.

Queen’s Blade Rebellion anime is great news indeed. I’m very interested to see how far they take things considering the story isn’t fully complete and all the characters aren’t announced yet.

    • Tier says:

It took me a little while to decide which one I liked better. I like the white version a bit better because her color scheme gives her an angelic, divine look, which seems completely at odd with her position as a God Nazi. I do dig the black version a lot as well, though. I think maybe if the black version also had black underpants, I might’ve gone with that one.

I was watching Fate/zero a few days ago and during the fight between Saber and Lancer, I was thinking to myself, “This would be so much better if Saber’s clothes got blown off.” Admittedly, I seem to be one of the few people who didn’t think much of the episode but I really think the Queen’s Blade (or Ikkitousen) approach would’ve made the sequence much more watchable.

I wonder if it’ll be mainly an Annelotte vs. Siggy show or if they’ll take more of an ensemble approach, like Queen’s Blade did (sort of). The previews for the OVAs seemed to show a lot of Annelotte and, uhh, Alleyne, but not many of the other Rebellion characters. I’m guessing the OVAs are mainly transitional but it was a bit odd not to see more of the Rebellion stuff.

  9. Pedro says:

Nice tits she has..but such a beautiful butt should be totally castoffable….

    • Tier says:

That would have been neat but I don’t think there’s any way they could have made her panties look attractive or realistic if they did that. I guess maybe they could have provided a whole lower torso or something.

  10. Steve Chen says:

Also got this one Tier. Her pose, her expression, the beauty mark, the curves ( the figure looks better than her manual imho)…………so innocent that it belies her bio (a Catholic/Christian zealot? Never happen……….not (just look at St. Paul)!)Having studied in a Catholic school, how I wished we had nuns as good looking as her( snicker). And just as nasty! Btw, try getting the regular Siggy fig, just as good though she is quite hard to find now ( I usually try Mandarake ’cause TH’s prices are way too out there). If I’ve got any complaints, it’s this d@mn exclusivity, good thing I also managed to score one from MegaTreaShop . Oh, and the latest QB: R figures, aside from Vante and Mirin, well, are no longer full cast=off……what a pity.

    • Tier says:

I’m not a very religious person (I guess I’m nominally Buddhist) but I definitely would not have minded attending Catholic school if the sisters were like Sigui. I mean, aside from the whole burning people at the stake and inquisition stuff.

I went looking through Mandarake for some Queen’s Blade figures recently; the ones I want are MegaHouse’s old Alleyne and Lunaluna. I’m not quite sure why I never got Alleyne, since she’s one of the characters I like a great deal, and it appears Lunaluna’s, uhh, dong can be detached, which removes the main problem I have with her character design.

Gee, that’s sort of a shame … I mean, I guess it would make a bit of sense for Queen’s Blade to try to become respectable and all, being that it’s become spectacularly successful, but I mean, you gotta remember your roots, no matter how successful you are.

  11. Steve Chen says:

Just like what Type Moon did with Fat Stay Night, no longer ero……..how dare they betray their roots! hehehe. Among MH’s season# 1 figures (the regular ones btw) which I own:

    Full Cast-off
    1. Melona
    2. Nyx
    3. Nowa
    4. Ymir
    5. Aldra (sort off)
    6. Cattleya ( only figure I don’t own ’cause, well her muscles and uber boobs kind of scares me)
    7. Echidna
    8. Erena

See? 8 figures with full cast off out of 17 released figs, almost half. QB: R, out of 10 figures, only 2 are full cast off. That’s almost criminal! And yes, I do wish MH won’t forget Melpha ( I wonder how they’ll implement a cast-off on her because she’s like wrapped like a burrito) and Irma ( maybe re-release Cattleya at a much cheaper price).

    • Tier says:

I don’t actually have many of MegaHouse’s figures of the original Queen’s Blade cast, now that I think about it. I’ve got Risty, Aldra … and I think that’s it. I’ve got a ton of Queen’s Gate figures though, including two in the review queue. I’ve been hoping that MegaHouse (or someone else) would do a new version of Nyx, with a bit more, uhh, interaction with Funikura. Hopefully somebody will make this happen. And an Irma figure.

  12. Tian says:

Damn it, I should have bought this. Tasteless? Maybe. Epic ass? WHY YES SIR.

    • Tier says:

Epic ass trumps all, including propriety and probity. How can an ass like this be wrong?

Incidentally, Entertainment Earth lists her as in stock.

      • Tian says:

I ended up ordering the black one from Tokyo Hunter (for the glasses!). She’ll make a great addition to my collection of nice asses. Diabolus Inclinatus is the reigning champ but this one… I dunno, this one could take that title in a dramatic end of year upheaval.

        • Tier says:

True indeed. You know, I think it was Cantan who once suggested that I make a list of figures that I like (or something like that), and I was thinking what I might do is make a list of my favorite figures by category. One of those categories, of course, will be best ass. I ought to think about how I’d rank my collection by that category.

One should never say never. Kinda like the Mavs dumping the Heats. This random statement has nothing to do with me watching Game 2 and 6 highlights on Youtube over and over this past week.

          • Tian says:

Aaannnd she came in today. Damn EMS is fast.

I agree, anything’s possible in the NBA. The Heat winning a title this year is just more possible than the rest.

          • Tier says:

Now that Fat Baby has been offloaded, I am back on that Boston bandwagon. Hopefully Rondo’s not too emo about his GM trying to trade him to a busted team, and hopefully the rest of the squad hasn’t ossified or anything during the long break.

  13. james says:

hi im new to the figure collection, so just wondering, where did you get this, and the price? love to get one..:)
