I was going to throw out the backdrop but I think I’ll keep it around for MegaHouse’s Risty, whom I hope gets shipped in the next week or so … she looks kinda like she should be in a desolate, arid sort of environment.

You built the backdrop?! *jaws drop* … that is freaking awesome! It blends in with Yoko very well. I wish I had the talent to do these sorta things.

As you mentioned, the best word to describe this yoko figure is solid. One of the best figure this year. The sculpture and amount of details are amazing.

Take my word for me, not only is Rina looks better, she is one of the most impressive character I have seen in recent memory. She also has more guts than all the men combined in the show.

I watched one episode, in which Yayoi tried to seduce the dude. It was sorta cool. I have the feeling that Yayoi is probably a sneaky conniving whore but I guess I’ll have to watch more of the show to make that determination. I’m probably going to order Rina just because I like how she looks, but I dunno if I want Yuki; I don’t like her character design as much but I kinda feel like I should get both if I get one.

I am still dragging my feet on getting myself familiar with Yoko, for some reason I don’t feel much in a big hurry. I got hooked on White Album …. yeah I hated the story, hate it so much that I constantly skip scenes I don’t like, but boy did I find a real gem, Ogata Rina, now she’s a real gem! I canceled Alter Fate for her GSC figure.

There's no way you could do with with Rei - she's got a billion figures and a lot of them are obscure, limited edition, or sold only in Japan - and even Kanu would be tough, just because there's so many versions and repaints and re-releases of her. >> Lylibellule The background is made up of two chunks of foamboard (I recycled parts from the backdrops I made for Subaru and Senhime). The wall in the background is one piece of foamboard that is stood vertically. I taped a bunch of wadded-up newspaper to it and then covered it with plaster cloth. The ground is a combination of baking soda (the "snow" I used for Subaru's shoot) and normal powder plaster mixed relatively thick so that it wouldn't drip all over my floor while it dried. The pillar is just a wood dowel that I wrapped some old rope and newspaper around and covered with more plaster cloth. After it all dried, I mixed up some paint (using mostly water, since I needed to paint a lot of surface). Then I dry-brushed some lighter colors on top after the washes had dried. I found this Youtube video very helpful when I started building dioramas. I'm not a very artistic person (I studied electrical engineering in college and haven't really done anything creative since elementary school) so having a step-by-step guide that I could watch was very useful.

That Yoko edited by Alter is gorgeous. Yours photos put her in a magnificent atmosphere.
I haven’t for her lips… so much details to enjoy on that figure.

How did you make that backround if it’s not indiscreet?
