I should try to track down the PS2 game. I still need to get copies of SMT Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, too. I'm not sure if I'd ever play it since not too many people say good things about the battle engine, but I like to collect oddball RPGs.

I need to get back to this game soon; I've been playing Forza 3 and Ultimate Alliance 2, and I have the feeling that if I start up Dragon Age, I'm not going to beat Magna Carta 2 for a long time.

I did actually get my artbook, and it's not super impressive, to be honest. It's pretty small (it's a bit larger than a DVD case) and most of the art is already available online. I guess it's mainly a completionist thing.

haha I still have my copy of the good old collector's ed for ps2. loved the story and character design, but hated the repetitive battle system, especially towards the end, always ran out of ki before I could finish off the enemy, and the final battle took me 10+tries..

still the story was pretty epic so when I saw this I was like OMG this is it, the reason for my new xbox purchase! not that I can afford it right now, but hopefully be getting it before ps3 next year.

tho I did buy the first game at gamestop, all my hard to get games nowadays came from ebay, and this will probably be too since I need the artbook~~ still, can't wait to get my hands on this title once drove me to tears at some point..korean rpgs are amazing!!

Yeah, I heard that the PS2 game had all sorts of problems. I thought about picking it up since I collect RPGs, but I never found it for cheap. I do like Magna Carta 2's battle system, and looking around, it seems much improved over the first game's. Although it gets sorta tiresome when your party members constantly whine about not overexerting yourself when you switch characters to chain attacks.

I usually preorder games from Gamestop if I don't think the big stores are going to get them (like I don't expect Best Buy to stock something like Disgaea or Panzer Dragoon Orta the day of release), but they're becoming increasingly annoying. I'm really not liking this trend of retailer-specific preorder bonuses too. It kinda makes me want to go back to PC gaming.

i never finished magna carta tears of blood ;_; whatever that timing based combat system was was nice and unique at all... but it meant i couldn't relax for a nice session if i was tired because my slowed reflexes would simply result in frustration >_<

i did love the art, which was probably why i purchased the first one ^^;

really sucks about gamestop and the preorder bonus though. 'course i'm already totally biased against them ^^; i mean... i know there's a ton of economic reasons why they need preorders and never have anything in stock on release day... but as a consumer... let's be honest, i don't really care. i drive to fry's/target/best buy, and i buy the game there without having had a preorder :P
